What is Knowledge panel?

Why it matters for AI visibility
A knowledge panel is the most visible receipt that entity work has succeeded: Google is confident enough about who you are to publish a summary next to your name. That confidence is exactly the commodity AEO trades in. Practically, a panel anchors your branded search results, pushing lookalikes and stale profiles down; strategically, the resolved identity behind it is what keeps your details stable when engines, Google's and others', talk about you. Two pieces of housekeeping follow. First, if a panel exists, claim it: verification gives you a formal channel to correct errors, and unclaimed panels drift as the web about you drifts. Second, treat the panel as a debugging window: whatever Google displays there, an outdated description, a wrong founding date, a namesake's photograph, is a symptom of the sources feeding it, and fixing those sources corrects both the panel and, over time, what other engines inherit from the same evidence.
