The UK’s AEO expert

Goreblimey Ltd was established in 2011 in Cheltenham as a full-stack design and development agency, and search has run through that work from the start: nearly 15 years of building sites for UK businesses that had to be found, and getting them found. Olly’s own time in search runs longer still: 20+ years of watching how people find businesses, and helping businesses be found, from Cheltenham independents to blue-chip international companies whose search he still looks after today.

That combination matters twice over. When a new discipline like AEO appeared, he did not wait for someone else’s tool: he built it. And it means AEOscore does not have to stop at analysis. Every tier gets written fix plans, and on the top tier the person who found the gaps spends a full day a month making the fixes, from copy and content to schema and code.

AEOscore exists because clients kept asking a new question: “does ChatGPT mention us?” There was no affordable UK answer. The tools were American, priced in dollars, gated the interesting engines behind enterprise tiers, and none of them came with a person who would act on the results. So we built the software, pointed it at the six engines that matter, and put the expert inside the product instead of behind a paywall.

The discipline is called AEO (answer engine optimisation): making sure that when AI answers your customers’ questions, your business is in the answer.
