Roundup / UK AEO agencies

The best AEO agencies in the UK for mid-market B2B (2026), compared on who makes the changes

Which UK agencies do AEO with implementation, not just reporting?

AEOscore (ours, and the publisher of this list) makes the changes with a named expert at £1,495 a month. ORRJO, Whitehat SEO, POLARIS and Blend run B2B programmes; Tilio and Rank4AI are AI search specialists; The SEO Works and Impression add AEO to a large agency. Profound and Peec AI are trackers: they report, and your team implements.

Cards on the table

AEOscore publishes this list and includes itself, first. Here are the criteria, so you can judge whether that is fair.

Every fact about another provider comes from that provider’s own pages, with a link and the date we checked. Quotes are word for word, “Not published” means we found no price, and our own weaknesses sit in the same place as everyone else’s.

Method

How we built this list

To be listed, a provider has to meet the first two criteria below; every entry is then compared on the other three, using only its own pages.

  1. 1

UK delivery for B2B firms. A UK office that delivers the work, and B2B clients or a B2B service named on its own site.

  2. 2

AEO or GEO as a real service line. A dedicated AEO, GEO or AI search service page, not an SEO page with a new heading.

  3. 3

Evidence of implementation. What its own pages say it changes on your site, quoted, rather than what it reports.

  4. 4

Published price. The price it publishes, linked, and "Not published" where there is none. We never estimate.

  5. 5

A clear engagement model. Who does the work and the minimum term, where its pages state them.

Tracker-only tools: they report, your team implements

None of these four says it changes your site: they report what the engines say and leave the changes to your team. Engines asked this question name Profound and Peec AI more than any agency.

Implementation vs reporting

What is the difference between an AEO agency and an AI visibility tool?

An AI visibility tool tells you which AI answers miss you and who they name instead, while an AEO agency changes your pages, fixes the technical blockers and ships the changes so those answers start naming you.

What implementation means in practice

Implementation means someone changes your pages, your listings and your technical setup, then measures whether the answers moved:

  • The answer at the top. The page that should win a question opens with a plain answer an engine can lift.
  • Pricing, FAQ and comparison pages rewritten. Price, terms and who you suit stated in words, not behind a form.
  • The same facts everywhere. Name, services, prices and locations consistent across your site and listings, so engines stop hedging.
  • Crawler access. AI bots allowed in, with nothing in robots.txt or a firewall blocking them.
  • Technical housekeeping. Structured data, sitemaps and speed done properly, as hygiene rather than a lever.
  • Other people's pages. Listings, reviews and roundups, because engines lean on third-party sources.
  • Shipped and re-measured. Each change dated and checked against the same questions weeks later.

The detail: what gets fixed, who does the implementation, monitoring vs fixing, the free AI robots checker and why Perplexity cites your competitor.

Why being named matters to B2B buyers

UK buyers already ask AI tools, AI Overviews sit on most comparison searches, and a brand cited in the Overview keeps more of its clicks:

  • 54% of UK adults now use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot or Gemini, rising to 79% of 16 to 24 year olds. Ofcom, UK adults' media and online lives revealed, 2 April 2026.
  • In our 304-query sample of UK B2B searches, 88% of comparison queries ("X vs Y", "best X for") showed an AI Overview. AEOscore UK AI Overview study, 17 August 2026.
  • Organic click-through on informational queries averaged 2.07% when the brand was cited in the AI Overview and 0.94% when it was not (2025 data, 53 brands). Seer Interactive, April 2026.

“Most teams I talk to already know which answers they're missing. What they haven't got is someone with time to write the page.”

Price

What does AEO cost in the UK for a mid-market B2B company?

Agency-published figures put UK mid-market AEO programmes at about £1,500 to £10,000 a month in 2026, while AEOscore is £99 a month to track and plan, £1,495 a month with the changes made, and £395 for a one-off audit credited against your first month.

No independent survey of UK AEO fees exists. These are the figures agencies publish about the market:

  • SEOCompare UK AI SEO Pricing Index (12 agencies) (June 2026): Median starting retainer £2,500 a month; range £1,500 to £8,000.
  • POLARIS (5 May 2026): Standalone GEO £3,000 to £10,000 a month; £2,500 to £7,000 added to an SEO retainer.
  • Push (2 April 2026): Mid-market programmes from around £5,000 to £10,000 a month.
  • Web Choice UK (4 May 2026): £1,500 to £10,000 a month.

Every one of those figures comes from a business with something to sell, us included. AEOscore’s prices in one line: £395 one-off AI Visibility Audit, credited against your first month, £99 a month Monitor, £1,495 a month Monitor + Strategist. Prices in pounds, excluding VAT; full detail on the pricing page.

Shortlist in four questions

How do I tell whether an agency implements or only hands over a report?

Ask who touches your website, in which week, and what ships in month one: a provider that implements names a person and the page changes, while a reporting provider describes a dashboard and a recommendations document.

  1. 1

    Who does the implementation?

Ask for a name and how changes reach your site: CMS access, pull requests or a ticket to your developer.

  2. 2

What gets changed in month one?

Ask for the pages and fixes, in order. A provider that only reports will describe an audit.

  3. 3

    How is progress measured?

Ask which engines, how often, and whether you see the raw answers and sources before and after each fix.

  4. 4

What happens if nothing moves in 12 weeks?

AI answers usually take 4 to 12 weeks to reflect a change, so ask what changes next and whether you can leave. Terms here run from monthly to twelve months.

Why it takes weeks: how long AEO takes and publish, wait, re-ask.

“Ask any agency, us included, who'll be editing your site in the first month and which pages. If they can't name a person, I'd keep looking.”

Fit

Where AEOscore fits, and where it does not

AEOscore fits a mid-market B2B team that wants one named expert making the changes, with daily measurement, on a monthly contract; a full-service agency or an enterprise platform is the better buy in the cases below.

  • You need a large content or digital PR programme, with a bench of writers and PR people: a full-service agency such as The SEO Works, Impression or Push.
  • You run many brands, markets or languages and have an in-house team to act on the data: an enterprise platform such as Profound.
  • You have developers and writers with time to act, and only need the data: a tracker, or AEOscore Monitor at £99 a month.
  • You want published client case studies before you buy: an agency that publishes them; AEOscore has none published yet.

If you want the changes made by one named expert, see what Monitor + Strategist includes and AEO for mid-market marketing teams.

“I won't promise you a spot in ChatGPT, and I'd be wary of anyone who does. You'll see the answers every week and whether they moved after each change.”

Fairness

Providers we checked and left out

Engines and other roundups name these for the same question; each misses one of the first two criteria above.

  • Distinctly: Its About page describes its clients as "ambitious B2C brands", and GEO sits in an AI hub rather than a standalone service page.
  • Brave Bison (and Builtvisible): Brave Bison, which absorbed Builtvisible, has a GEO page, but it states no B2B focus and its case studies are consumer brands. Roundups still list Builtvisible under the old name.
  • Click Consult: Now at click.co.uk as an IQVIA business; we found an AI search content hub but no AEO or GEO service page.
  • ClickSlice: Has AEO and GEO pages and month-to-month terms, but its background is ecommerce and Shopify, with no B2B focus stated.

FAQ

UK AEO agencies, asked directly

What should a mid-market B2B marketing team look for in an AEO partner?
UK-based delivery, a named person making the changes on your site, published prices and terms, tracking of your real buyer questions on every major AI engine each week, and a written plan for every gap that then gets shipped and re-measured.
How long does AEO work take to show results?
Plan on 4 to 12 weeks from a fix going live to AI mentions you can rely on: engines that search the web while answering, such as ChatGPT search and Perplexity, can pick up a fix within days on a narrow question, while broad questions usually take 8 to 12 weeks or longer.
Is AEO the same as GEO or SEO?
AEO and GEO are two labels for the same discipline, getting named in AI-generated answers, while SEO is about ranking links on a results page: the technical foundations overlap, but what you measure is different.
Can an agency guarantee I will be named in ChatGPT?
No: AI engines choose their own sources and their answers cannot be bought, so judge a provider on measured movement in how often you are named on agreed questions, not on promises.
Why do AEO agency roundups put their own agency first?
Because most of them are written by agencies. In 14 of the 17 UK roundups we found, the publisher listed itself first. This page lists AEOscore first too, so check each claim against the provider's own page, linked from every entry.
Is AEOscore an agency?
AEOscore is an AEO service with its own tracking software, run by Goreblimey Ltd (company no. 07582417) in Cheltenham. The work on your site is done by one named expert, Olly, a full-stack developer and AEO consultant, with no account team in between.
