AI visibility for mid-market marketing teams: see what AI says about you, then fix it

What does a mid-market marketing team need from an AI visibility tool?

A team of 2 to 15 people in marketing with no AEO specialist needs three things: a free scan first, so it knows whether there is a gap before spending anything; monitoring across all six engines that matter, in pounds, without add-ons; and fixes that get specified and, if nobody has the time, done. AEOscore is built for exactly that team as a hybrid of AI software and a UK-based named expert with 20+ years in search: free score, then £99 a month for the software with written fix plans, and £1,495 a month with a named UK expert doing the work.

Step one

Start with the free scan, before you buy anything

The cheapest credible way to start is a free AI visibility scan across all six engines: see whether you have a real gap, then decide whether you need a monitoring subscription, hands-on remediation, or neither.

Send your domain and a named expert runs it through ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode with real buyer questions for your sector, scores the answers, and emails the report within 1 to 2 working days. No card, no signup, no sales call unless you ask for one. It answers the two questions that decide everything else: is your score lower than you assumed, and which rivals keep getting named instead of you.

Fit, in numbers

Who this is for

Marketing team
2 to 15 people in marketing
Monthly budget
£100 to £1,500 a month
Tracked prompts
40 to 150 tracked prompts
Onboarding
under a week

You have a website that ranks reasonably, a marketing manager or small team, a budget that would notice £1,000 a month, and a growing suspicion that buyers are asking ChatGPT and Google’s AI Mode about your category and hearing other names. What you do not have is someone whose job is to read an AI visibility dashboard every day and turn it into pages, listings and outreach.

That last part is why enterprise platforms under-deliver for teams like yours: they report the gaps beautifully and leave the fixing to you. AEOscore turns every gap into a written fix plan on every tier, and on the top tier a named expert spends a day a month doing the work.

  • Paste-ready llms.txt and crawler rules
  • Off-site: conversations to join, roundups to pitch, a weekly publishing plan with drafts
  • 2 on-demand re-scans a month to check a shipped fix, on top of the weekly scan; outcome per fix
  • Monthly report you can forward

Every tier includes

  • All six engines: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode
  • Competitor tracking with alias matching
  • Reputation read: how each engine describes you, with a diagnosis and written fix for sour answers
  • Written fix plans for every visibility gap, with drafts on request
  • Social targets: the Reddit threads, videos and forum posts AI cites instead of you
  • Listings to win: the directories and roundup pages sending rivals their mentions
  • Rival radar: new competitors and brand hijacks, flagged automatically
  • Monthly one-page report you can share with a link

Prices exclude VAT at the prevailing UK rate, currently 20%. Fair use: weekly scans on Monitor and daily scans on Strategist, across up to 40 active prompts, the tier's monthly re-scan allowance, and a monthly allowance of full fix plans and drafts. The Claude Opus stream is excluded unless agreed. Full detail on the pricing page.

Monitoring vs fixing

Do AI visibility tools fix the problems they find, or only report them?

Almost all AI visibility tools are monitoring only: they show you where you are missing from AI answers, and AEOscore is one of the few that writes the fix plans on every tier and puts a named UK expert on implementing them on its top tier.

For a mid-market team the split decides the shortlist. A monitoring-only tool is a good buy if someone will act on it every week; if not, the chart becomes a Monday-meeting slide and the next scan looks like the last one. Fix plans make the work specific: this page, answering this question, naming these rivals, at this price. The expert day makes it happen when the team cannot.

To be precise: fix plans and drafts come with every tier; hands-on implementation is the £1,495 tier. See Profound vs UK alternatives for the eight-vendor table and Profound vs AEOscore for the head-to-head, both verified 17 August 2026.

The first twelve weeks

What to expect in the first 12 weeks

  1. Day 0

Free AEO score: a named expert runs your domain through all six engines and emails a scored report within 1 to 2 working days. You see which engines mention you, which ignore you, and which rivals they name instead.

  2. Week 1

Prompt panel agreed: 40 real buyer questions across category, comparison, pricing and best-X-for-Y. First weekly scan sets the baseline. Technical readiness fixed: crawler access, plain HTML, sitemap, llms.txt.

  3. Weeks 2 to 4

Content gaps closed in order: direct-answer pages for the questions you are missing from, then a named-rival comparison and a public pricing page engines can quote. Fix plans specify each page; drafts on request; on the Strategist tier the expert writes them.

  4. Weeks 3 to 8

Listings and third-party mentions: the directories, roundups and forum threads the scan shows engines citing instead of you. Slow work, so it starts early. Rival radar flags anyone new the engines keep naming.

  5. Weeks 4 to 12

Re-measurement on the same prompts, same engines. Movement typically shows here, first on grounded engines that read the live web. Each fix carries a before-and-after verdict, and the monthly report is a link you can forward to whoever signs the budget.

Most teams see measurable movement in 4 to 12 weeks after fixes go live, depending on how often each engine refreshes its sources and how much third-party coverage you already have. Answers that come from training memory move on model-release timescales, which is why the third-party work starts early.

FAQ

Questions mid-market teams ask

What counts as a mid-market marketing team here?
Roughly 2 to 15 people in marketing, an AI visibility budget of £100 to £1,500 a month, a panel of 40 to 150 tracked prompts, and no dedicated AEO analyst. At that size AI answers already move real revenue, and a dashboard nobody has time to act on is wasted money.
Which tier should a mid-market team start on?
Start with the free score. If it shows a gap, Monitor at £99 a month is the usual choice: six engines, weekly scans, API costs bundled, and a written fix plan for every gap for your team to execute. Choose Monitor + Strategist at £1,495 a month if nobody on the team can take the fixes on and you want the named expert to make the changes for you.
Do we need our own OpenAI or Anthropic API keys?
No: every tier bundles the API costs under fair use (weekly scans on Monitor and daily scans on Monitor + Strategist, across up to 40 active prompts, plus the tier's monthly re-scan allowance), so there are no keys to manage and no separate provider bills. The own-keys £49 Starter tier was retired in August 2026.
How does this compare with Profound and the other tools?
Profound is built for enterprise teams with an analyst and an annual contract; the self-serve tools mostly report without fixing. The eight-vendor comparison, prices in pounds, is on the Profound vs UK alternatives page, the head-to-head is on Profound vs AEOscore, and teams of one to three have their own page: Peec AI vs AEOscore.
