AEOscore
Good fit if: You are a UK mid-market team that wants all six engines flat in pounds, a free scan before any commitment, and either specified fixes or a person who does them.
Less suitable if: You need crawler analytics or SOC 2 paperwork, or daily scans on the entry tier (daily is the Strategist tier).
Profound
Good fit if: You have an in-house AEO analyst, need nine engines and agent-traffic analytics, and can commit to yearly billing, with the full product sold by demo.

The gap in numbers: Profound Starter is $99 a month billed yearly, so up to about $1,190 (roughly £880) committed for a year of ChatGPT-only tracking on 50 prompts. AEOscore Monitor is £99 a month for all six engines with API costs bundled, cancel any month: £1,188 for a full year, with no commitment beyond the month you are in.
Profound Growth’s three engines at $399 a month billed yearly come to up to about $4,790 (roughly £3,550) a year. That buys almost three years of AEOscore Monitor, or about two and a third months of the £1,495 Monitor + Strategist tier with a named UK expert doing the work. Profound advertises “2 months free” on yearly billing, which is why the figures above say “up to”; either way the commitment is a year, and the engine count does not change.
