Data and privacy
What we collect, where it lives and who touches it, answered plainly. The short version: scans read public answers, your data stays on a UK-hosted server, and one named person runs everything.
- What data does a scan collect about my business?
- Scans collect what the AI engines publicly say: the recorded answers to your prompt panel, with mentions of you and your tracked rivals counted from them. To run, we hold your domain, your prompt panel and the competitor names you track. Nothing reaches into your systems, your analytics or your customer data.
- Do you need access to my website or analytics?
- No. Scans need no access at all, and fix plans are written from your public pages, the same view the AI crawlers have. If you take the Strategist tier and want content published for you, you choose what access to grant, and it is used for that work only.
- Where is my data stored?
- On our UK-hosted server. Lead records sit in a private log, and email flows through Resend, our email processor. We do not sell or share your details, and the full detail, including what the free-score form collects and why, is on our privacy page.
- Is AEOscore UK GDPR compliant?
- Yes. UK GDPR applies to everything we hold: you can ask what we have on you, ask for correction or deletion, and we honour it. We keep records only as long as they are relevant to providing the service. If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the ICO.
- Do you send my details to the AI providers?
- Scans send the providers prompts: buyer questions, which naturally include business names and services, the same things any member of the public could type into ChatGPT. No customer data, no analytics, nothing non-public. The providers see questions about businesses, not your accounts.
- Do you use cookies or tracking on this site?
- We run Google Analytics 4 with advertising consent switched off: a first-party _ga cookie counts visits and pages, no ad cookies or ad personalisation, no IP addresses stored, and we see aggregate counts only. Beyond that there is no advertising or tracking of any kind.
- Who actually sees my account and runs the scans?
- One named person: Olly, who wrote the AEOscore software and runs every scan, score and strategy day personally. There is no outsourced team behind the curtain, and that is also why the data-handling story is short: very few hands ever touch your data.
